NO LICENCE REQUIRED - NO CATCH LIMIT

COST TO FISH

  • Open air - $8.50 per person.
  • Heated Fish Huts - $8.00 age 12 yrs and under; $12.00 age 13 & over .
    4 hours maximum (8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. OR 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.).
  • Bait and tackle supplied.
  • ALL fish must be kept – NO THROWBACKS.
  • Size of fish range between 9 ” – 24”
  • Specks, Rainbows; Brown Trout and also Pickerel (Walleye)
  • Cleaning of fish available - $1.50 each.
  • All fish are put in bags to transport home.

*12.1” – 14” - $11.00 each

 

*14.1” – 16” - $13.00 each

*over 16” - $16.00 each

*Pickeral any size - $12.00 each

9th Annual Fishing Derby
March 10th, 2012

ICE FISHING DERBY RULES & REGULATIONS

Tickets $40 per person per day; 50 tickets sold.

*Derby starts at 10:00 a.m. ; until 4:00 p.m.

*One tagged fish entered in each pond - 1st tagged fish of the day caught wins $1,000. If the tagged fish is not caught, there will be a cash prize of $100 for the biggest fish of the day, and $100 for the most weigh-in of the day.

*Daily draws – bring entry ticket stub.

*All fish caught must be kept and will be charged by the pound @ $5.95 per pound.

*Bring your own tackle and stool or lawn chair.

*Holes are pre-drilled before the derby.

*Tickets can be purchased at Kawartha Lakes Trout Farm or Kawartha Bait & Tackle ( Queen St. , Lindsay)

*Barbeque will be set up. Hamburgers, hot dogs & chilli; soft drinks & coffee will be available.

*One 2-man, two 4-man, one 6-man and one 8-man heated fish huts are available for the day of Derby but must be reserved and paid for at time of ticket purchase at $12/person.

*If weather does not co-operate or if the ice goes out, all participants will be notified and monies returned.
